Beach to Bush was my first major non-commercial photographic project.
I left Australia when I was 19 years old and didn’t return until some 15 years later with my wife Fafou and our first daughter Juliette.
We stayed in Australia for 5 years before returning back to France just after my second daughter Lucy was born.
During that period I re-visited and photographed all the places where I lived, went to school and holidayed as a kid in New South Wales.

I have shown this work three times. It was the inaugural exhibition at the renowned Stills Photographic Gallery in Sydney, which I co-founded with Kathy Freeman.
It was also shown at the Australian Embassy in Paris and at Bayeux.
